New Challenge Blog and Candy Candy Candy!!!!

Hi I just wanted to tell you about a new challenge blog that Susie and I have set up to start on the 16th of January to read a few more details hop over to Christmas Club Challenge blog but also both Susie and I are celebrating the new lauch with some candy!!! .Make sure you also hop over to Susie's blog as she has candy too.

The photo above is the candy i am offering which is a pile of 30 x stamped christmas theme images and 25+ christmas themed 6x6" papers which will go to the candy winner plus the winner will also be our Guest designer for Challenge #2 which will start on the 23rd January.

Snow & more snow and very excited children lol

Good morning girls, well like most we have had our share of snow this morning. These photo's were taken at 8am thismorning before my little horrors went out (ok and me too) and scooped up all the snow to make a snowman. The sledges are out and even little Jaime had a go down the hill. Hubby has walked back home again after his boss had a re-evaluation of the weather conditions so a good snowball fight has been had by all.

Right i must now go and dry all the wet clobber sitting by the front door.

Die Cut Dreams Challenge - Back To School

Good morning girls, This week over at the Die Cut Dreams Challenge the theme is Back To School. I always find this theme challenging but i had great fun making this journal as my DT sample. I bought a project book from tesco for £1 and covered it with number paper from my stash. I had to take the book cover off to cover it so used my big bite to re-punch the holes. The elements are all from TLC. I nice and simple project which i can keep memories of my youngest sons antics and achievements at school in from pre-school right up to year 6.

Susie's Sassy Challenge - Friends Old Or New

Hi Girls, this fortnight over at Susie's Sassy Challenge the theme is Friends Old Or New. This is my DT sample and i have used a stamp which i have had for a long time but not coloured until now. I have coloured the girls with promarkers and layered with nesties onto K&co paper. The ribbon was a gift from Steph and the flowers are from spare parts. I have added faux stitching around the edges with an olive promarker.

House Mouse Thankyou

Good morning ladies.. Its a bit frosty out there this morning and im sitting here wondering if we might see a bit of that snow they promise for New Year. We always seem to get bypassed here and miss out on the proper white stuff, we normally end up with slush and ice :(

I have lots of thankyou's to send after all the lovely goodies i received this Christmas so i have started making some cards. This is the first one and i have used House Mouse nose to nose in flowers image coloured with promarkers. The papers are K&Co, the flourishes and flowers are sizzix sizzlits, the sentiment is a see d's stamp and the ribbon from my stash.

Good evening girls, hope you are all enjoying the festivities! Its time to announce the winner of my little "Decipher the Shopping List" competition. Some of them were quite easy but the one most of you struggled with was "Crightell" Hmm yes i had absolutely no idea what this was until i asked Lewis what it said to which he replied ......" Hi girls, I think this one is doing the rounds, it was passed to me by a friend and we are not sure where it originated but it did make me laugh so thought i would share it for those of you who have not read it yet...

Twas the night before Christmas,

I’m glued to the tree.

I’m wondering what Santa brought just for me.

Could it be cardstock or ink pads or lace?

Or some stamps, I said, with a smile on my face.

And that’s when I heard him……“Hi Santa, ” I said

He replied, “You know….good girls should be in their beds”.

“I know I should Santa,and now I’ve been caught.

But I was just so excited to see what you brought.”

“Well, let’s take a look in this room where you work”.

He shook his head quickly, and left with a jerk.

I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.

“You’ve got enough crap,I’ll see you next year!”

Die Cut Dreams Challenge - Hidden snowflake

Hi Girls, its time for the last challenge of 2009 over at the Die Cut Dreams Challenge Blog and this week the theme is Snowflake suprise. We would like to see a hidden snowflake or a detatchable gift with a snowflake on your project. Above is my DT sample and i have made a layout of my eldest children desperately trying to sledge in the little snow we had last week. The papers and all embellishments are from HOTP and i made a little pocket using some of the papers and inside there is a little snowflake tag which i have journalled on the back of.

The DCD challenge will last for two weeks this time so there is plenty of time to take part and if you have already finished all your christmas cards for this year, why not make a start on next years .... its never too early! There are some lovely stamps up for grabs by Nellie Snellen this week too ;)

May i take this opportunity to wish all my crafty buddies and followers a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Birthday Boy

Good afternoon ladies, I have made this card for my friends sons birthday, I have coloured the GF image with promarkers and chalked the edges. The papers are all from Bo Bunny play all day range and so is the star ribbon. The lovely scalloped punched border was a freebie from an order i placed with dies to die for and the brads are also bo bunny.

The Season of Friendship lasts forever

Good afternoon ladies. I have made this card for a special friend of mine this Christmas. I used the gorgeous WOJ willow coloured with my favourite promarker pens, the colours used were ivory, powder blue, cocoa and henna. I have cut her out and layered her onto nesties which i have distressed with chalk. The papers are MME and the flourishes are sizzix sizzlits which i added little blue jewels to. The ribbon is from my stash. The square metal brads i added blue stickles too and the lovely sentiment is also from whiff of Joy. The only problem i have with this card is that i cannot find or seem tomake an envelope to fit without the flourishes getting bent so i might have to use some posh wrapping paper for the envelope instead lol.

Susie's Sassy Challenge A Touch Of Gold

Good morning girls, boy its cold outside today! we are just about iced in at the moment, although we have not had a great deal of snow we live near the bottom of quite a steep valley and the roads near the top are like a sheet of ice and we cannot get the car out at the moment. There are no shops within my walking distance.. anything over a mile is far too far lol... im so lazy when it comes to walking anywhere and scared to death of slipping on ice with the kids and making a complete fool of myself lol. Anyway i hope you are all keeping warm and well and looking forward to Christmas... only 6 sleeps to go til santa girls!!!!!!!

This fortnight over at Susie's Sassy challenge the theme is " A Touch of gold" perfect for our festive cardmaking, im sure lots of us have used a bit of gold sparkle or ribbon on our cards and projects somewhere along the line. As my DT sample I have made an easel calendar Christmas card using papers from DCWV and some gorgeous gold sparkly wide ribbon which i bought in a local shop. The image is christmas Emma from CC designs coloured with promarkers, berry red, forest green and gold. The flourishes are sizzix sizzlits to which i have added a little gold stickles.

Hi Girls, aren't the weeks just flying by at the moment!!! Its time for a new challenge over at the DIE CUT DREAMS CHALLENGE BLOG and this week its all about glitter and sparkle. Susie has chosen the theme of "glitter me silly" and gave all the ladies on the DT the wonderful kit pictured above for us to create our glittery sample with. Hi girls, sorry i have been MIA a bit lately but you what its like at this time of year... so many preparations, the childrens nativity plays, shopping, wrapping... this list goes on. I will be much more back to normal after christmas is over and should have much more time to blog hop and see you all. This is my first card for today which i have made to fit a few challenges. Hi girls, 3rd post today, Its time for a new challenge over at the Die Cut Dreams Challenge blog and this week it was my turn to choose the theme and i chose Sage & Onion Stuffing (colour combo of green beige and cream. Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer... My first Easel Card!!

Hi Girls, 2nd post today. I have been itching to make one of these easel cards and i have finally done it yayyyyy lol. I used Wee on Reindeer image from Whiff of Joy coloured with promarkers. The papers are DCWV, Ribbons, gems and brads from my stash. The flourishes are punched and i have covered the white ones in glitter, (sorry poor photo so unable to see it) I really enjoyed making this card so you will probably see a few more easels over the next few weeks.

Good afternoon girls, The hubby and children have been very busy putting up the outdoor christmas lights today and judging from what i have seen already i think it might just be possible to see us from outer space when they are switched on. I think Dave is more excited about them than the kids are lol. I thought he had finished a little earlier but apparently there are more still to put up which he will have to do tomorrow, along with a free christmas tree that he obtained from B & Q as he had spent over £30 instore. He has no idea where it is going to go but of course had to have it as it was free. Anyway enough of me rambling... Here is a card i have made today for a few challenges. I have used this cute CC designs Pixie with bauble, layered onto Bo Bunny papers. The flowers are from WHSmiths and the red metallic and jewel brads, and green ribbon from my stash. WOYWW Except im late again cos its Thursday :)

Hi girls, i know im late again lol... i have been so busy i just cant seem to keep up with everything at the moment including tidying as you can see lol. Oh dear what a mess, think this is the worst its been in a while now however i do know where everything is which is great. As some of you may know i have had a couple of weeks off blogging but time was not wasted. On my desk you will see lots of a5 display books. I spent absolutely ages sorting out all of my images into brands and putting them into folders to keep them nice and clean and also to help me find the one i want when i need them. They were all over the place before all mixed up in a big pile but now i know exactly which folder to pick up when i need one . each folder has 20 pages so i put images on each side so can fit 40 different ones in each book. Well i didnt quite order enough folders and will probably need another 10 to finish off but the ones i have done so far are fab. So much easier. Apart from that there is a bit of colouring i have done and a whole load of untidiness everywhere else lol. Oh you might be able to spy the gorgeous pink Friend plaque that the lovely Susie Sugar sent me when i was away. Isnt it beautiful and i have hung it there so that i can see it everyday, it is really beautiful. Thankyou Susie xxxxxx
